Judge wants Google to name sender of fake email

April 29, 2014

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — A south-central Idaho judge has ordered Google to identify a person who sent an email while posing as a former College of Southern Idaho president.

The Times-News reports (http://bit.ly/1pKwygL) that 5th District Court Judge Richard Bevan issued the order Friday to find out who pretended to be Jerry Beck.

The email sent Jan. 9 from a Gmail account previously used by Beck was sent to a vice president at the college who has filed documents indicating her intention to bring a discrimination lawsuit against the school.

Edit Szanto has been put on paid leave until her contract expires.

Szanto, vice president of student services/planning and grant development, contends that CSI President Jeff Fox and others targeted her with discrimination, retaliation and unequal pay because of her gender and national origin.

Szanto and her family left Romania as political refugees and came to the United States in 1990.
