Police: Woman stabbed in area hotel
CANTON, Mass. (AP) — Police say a woman has been stabbed in a Massachusetts hotel and has declined to cooperate with police.
Police responded to reports of a stabbing at Homewood Suites in Canton on Monday night to find both the suspect and victim had fled the scene.
Officials say a “substantial amount of blood” was found in a hotel stairwell and elevator. The woman had admitted herself to Boston Medical Center where she was treated for a stab wound to her chest when she was found by police.
Detectives interviewed her about the stabbing, but found her to be uncooperative. State police are processing blood evidence from the hotel, and surveillance footage is being analyzed by Canton Police. Police do not believe it was a random attack.
