Thomas “Tom” Michael Kulas, 73, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019, at New Brighton Care Center in New Brighton, Minn.

He was born Dec. 23, 1945, at Arcadia, Wis., to James and Loretta (Stelmach) Kulas. He grew up near Dodge, Wis., and went to Cotter High School in Winona. He went on to obtain his degree in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. For over 30 years he worked for Excel Energy, earning a master engineering certificate there. He was an avid amateur radio operator and Green Bay Packers fan. He loved his stepchildren and stepgrandchildren and he always loved to hear news about the Dodge area.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Helen;his stepdaughter, Christina Libaire; stepgrandchildren, Vincent and Samuel; his brother, Fr. William Kulas; and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; and Michael, his stepgrandson.

A celebration of life Mass will be held in the spring, at St. John the Baptist Church in New Brighton. Memorials should go to St. John the Baptist Catholic School in New Brighton, Minn., or Twin Cities Public TV. Washburn-McReavy Funeral Home, New Brighton, are in charge of arrangements.
