Hazmat team stops leak at Purdue Fort Wayne
There were no injuries after a refrigerant leak kept the Fort Wayne Fire Department’s hazmat team on the Purdue University campus for about two hours Monday night, officials said.
Crews responded to the incident about 9 p.m. and found a chiller unit malfunctioning. The leak was eventually stopped and college officials will contact a repair company to fix the unit.
