Scottville approves city hall work contract
Scottville City commissioners on Monday approved a bid from Harbor Flooring to complete repairs to the flooring in the city hall building at 105 N. Main St.
At $2,219.46, the bid from Harbor Flooring was the lowest received for the project, according to Interim City Manager Steve Brock, who said the repairs are necessary.
“(It’s) the flooring area behind the wall and the window at city hall, (and) if you’ve been there, you’ll noticed the tile is all pealed out … It’s been that way for a long time, it’s in disrepair and it goes into the segue between (city hall) and the police department,” Brock said. “There’s a couple hazards, and by my estimation it just needs to be taken out.”
Brock said the sub-floor in the area needed to be removed and replaced with some better flooring on top of it.
