Update on Northeast Community College construction projects

September 18, 2018

NORFOLK - Northeast Community College is continuing to expand not only on the main campus in Norfolk, but in West Point too.

There is construction currently going on for a new outdoor space on the Norfolk campus called Hawks Village that will include basketball and tennis courts, sand volleyball, and numerous pedestrian walkways.

Vice President of Administrative Services Lynne Koski thinks progress is coming along nicely.

“The construction crew is working very hard to get all of the sidewalks in so they can get some of the turf and trees in before it gets too cold.”

Executive Vice President John Blaylock says the Donald E. Nielsen Career and Technical Training Facility in West Point is staying on pace for Northeast to take possession in January.
