Liberty Media: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) _ Liberty Media Corp. (FWONK) on Thursday reported a second-quarter loss of $77 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Englewood, Colorado-based company said it had a loss of 33 cents.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 8 cents per share.
The media and entertainment company posted revenue of $620 million in the period.
Liberty Media shares have climbed 34% since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 21% in the last 12 months.
