HUNTINGTON — The Student of the Month program at Rotary Club of Huntington recognizes students from the three local high schools within the downtown Huntington region. The schools acknowledged are Huntington High School, St. Joseph Central Catholic High School and Grace Christian High School. The program, which has been in existence for over 20 years, recognizes students that each school believes represent the ideals of that particular high school.

Students recently recognized are:

September Student of the Month was Audrey Heaberlin, a senior at St. Joseph Central Catholic High School. Her parents are Dr. Brian and Miranda Heaberlin. Audrey participates in Mu Alpha Theta, and National Honor Society. She is a member of the tennis team and enjoys teaching younger kids how to play tennis as well.

October Student of the Month was Stephen Perrine, a senior from Huntington High School. His parents are Jim and Beth Perrine and he has a sister, Kayte, who attends Huntington Middle School. Stephen is a member of the football team and a member of the Substance Abuse Prevention Program at the school. He wants to attend Marshall University and study medicine and follow in his parents’ footsteps.

November Student of the Month was Isaac Perry, a 17 year-old senior at Grace Christian School. He plays soccer, basketball, and baseball for the school. He also enjoys fine arts, including acting, singing, and playing piano and tuba. When he graduates, he plans to attend Bob Jones University. Isaac said, “I am honored to have been recognized as the Huntington Rotary Club student of the month.”
