Possible Murder-Suicide Found in Calif.
ROCKLIN, Calif. (AP) _ A teenager and his parents were found dead in their home in a possible murder-suicide, authorities said Thursday.
The bodies of a 43-year-old man, a 42-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy were found Wednesday after the woman’s other son summoned police to the home, about 20 miles northeast of Sacramento.
The 19-year-old son, who was unharmed, said his mother and stepfather had argued, police said.
``We’re not looking for another suspect at this time. We have no reason to believe that there was anybody outside the house involved,″ police Lt. Stuart Davis said.
Authorities did not identify the victims, but The Sacramento Bee reported Thursday that neighbors and school officials identified the teen as Steffen Ohland and his mother as Daphne Pettit.
Pettit’s request for a restraining order against her son’s father was granted Wednesday by court officials who were unaware of the deaths, the newspaper reported, citing court documents.
The father was identified in the documents as Ronald Ohland.
