Momentum: HumaniTea in running for prize

May 15, 2019

HumaniTea is one of the finalists in the $50,000 Momentum Business Plan Competition funded by the Pennies from Heaven Foundation and administered by the Ludington & Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce.

HumaniTea owners, Carmen Biggs and Chris Turnbull, will present their business plan in the “Shark Tank”-style event on Friday at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts (LACA).

The evening begins at 5 p.m. with hors d-oeuvres and drinks. Then, HumaniTea and other competitors will make their business pitches to a judge’s panel, who will decide the amount of prize money, up to $50,000, to be awarded to finalists.

HumaniTea is competing against Art by Mary Case, The Tailor Shop, My Inspired Parties and Leta’s Educational Child Care.
