‘Yo Mama’ joke caused teen known as ‘Little Ze Ze’ to attack Cleveland man with two-by-four, police say

CLEVELAND, Ohio – A “Yo Mama” joke caused a teen known as “Little Ze Ze” to twice attack a Cleveland man, including once with a two-by-four, police said.

No arrests have been made in the two attacks that happened Saturday in the city’s Glenville neighborhood, according to a police report.

The attacks happened three days after the 25-year-old man made a “Yo Mama” joke about Little Ze Ze’s mother, who is currently in jail, the report says.

The man saw Little Ze Ze again Saturday afternoon on East 129th Street near Iroquois Avenue. Little Ze Ze challenged the man to a fight, but the man refused and started to walk away.

Little Ze Ze picked up a two-by-four and swung it at the man. The man blocked the attack with his left forearm, the report says.

Little Ze Ze then said he was going to get a gun to shoot the man, the report says.

The man walked away, but he saw Little Ze Ze again a short time later. Little Ze Ze hit the man with a stick, causing cuts on the man’s forehead, head and shoulder, the report says.

The man walked away once again and contacted police. He refused medical treatment at the scene, the report says.

Officers searched the area but could not find Little Ze Ze, the report says.
