Down to two: Stibitz-Rozell, Fugere move on in Fourth Ward race

August 8, 2018

The results of Tuesday’s primary election narrowed the choice of candidates down to two for the Ludington City Council Fourth Ward seat, removing Jeff Caspersen from the running.

Cheri Stibitz-Rozell and Kandi Fugere remain to vie in the Nov. 6 general election for the four-year term councilor position.

Stibitz-Rozell received 118 votes, Fugere got 53 and 45 people voted for Caspersen. There was one write-in vote.

“It feels wonderful to know 118 people came to the polls to support me,” Stibitz-Rozell said. “I’m excited to have that many people put their faith behind me… I want to thank everyone for the support.”
