Scranton Council Cancels Budget Caucus

November 29, 2018

SCRANTON — City council canceled a budget caucus scheduled for Dec. 3 at 5 p.m., according to a public notice in The Times-Tribune on Wednesday. Council intended to hold this caucus to hear from the administration on the mayor’s proposed 2019 city operating budget. However, this past Monday, city Business Administrator David Bulzoni attended a council budget hearing to explain the budget and respond to council questions about it. Council introduced the budget ordinance Nov. 19 and advanced it on second reading on Nov. 26. The budget ordinance now will come up for a third vote on adoption at council’s next regular weekly meeting, this Monday at 6 p.m. at City Hall. — JIM LOCKWOOD
