Free Soil, Hoague roads open
SCOTTVILLE — Free Soil Road and Hoague Road are now open to traffic, according to a press release Friday morning from the Mason County Road Commission.
Both roads were reconstructed and resurfaced with hot-mix asphalt. The gravel shoulders have been placed and the front slopes graded. The final restoration road work will be completed in the spring, said Eric Nelson, Mason County highway engineer.
The section of Free Soil Road that was repaired is a half-mile west of Custer Road, in Free Soil Township. The section of Hoague Road is between Quarterline and LaSalle roads, in Grant Township, according to the press release.
