Salvation Army still seeking donations

December 30, 2018

Christmas has passed, but the local Salvation Army still needs help.

The charity announced Sunday that year-end donations are about 60 percent of what’s needed to provide help to Fort Wayne-area residents in 2019.

“100 percent of the donations stay in our community to help those in need, without discrimination,” a statement from the Salvation Army reads.

Donations also had been running low for the charity’s annual kettle campaign, officials said earlier this month. The goal for that fundraising effort was $558,000 and ran through Christmas eve.

Donations can be made at donate.salvationarmy.org.
