Football | Bombers crush Z-M on record-setting night

CANNON FALLS — Cannon Falls running back Logan Hofstedt shattered the school’s single-game record with 405 yards and five touchdowns as the Bombers topped Zumbrota-Mazeppa 52-19 on Friday in a Southeast District, White Sub-District matchup.

His TDs covered 59, 35, 35, 41 and 76 yards.

The Bombers piled up 605 yards rushing on 66 attempts while holding Z-M to just 31 rushing yards.

The Cougars got two touchdown passes from quarterback Parker Voth, both to Nathan Mensink.

Z-M (1-4) hosts undefeated St. Charles next week, while Cannon Falls (1-4) are at Triton.
