Street replacement shifts 11th Avenue traffic
A block of 11th Avenue Northeast will see shifting lane restrictions starting Thursday.
A two-phase concrete street replacement project is expected to start Thursday between Ninth and 10th streets, according to Rochester Public Works.
The first phase will close the southbound parking lane and shift traffic to the east side of the street. Once the concrete has cured, the second phase will begin, closing the main southbound traffic lane and shifting traffic to the outside lanes.
One lane of traffic in each direction is expected to be maintained throughout the closure, but drivers could encounter minor delays during concrete pours.
Access to all properties is expected to be maintained, with the exception of properties directly adjacent to the roadway work. The contractor will make special arrangements with related property owners.
The work is expected to continue through May 16.
