Kyrou extends streak, but Rampage fall to Texas Stars
Jordan Kyrou scored twice to extend his point streak to nine games but the San Antonio Rampage fell 5-2 to the Texas Stars on Thursday at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.
The Rampage fell to 13-17-1, while the Stars improved to 16-10-4.
Kyrou opened the scoring midway through the first and tallied again early in the second to give himself eight goals and nine assists in his past nine matches.
Texas scored once in the first, twice in the second and twice in an 11-second span early in the third.
San Antonio goalie Ville Husso made 25 saves against 30 shots before leaving due to injury. Evan Fitzpatrick turned aside Texas’ last two shots.
Stars goalie Landon Bow saved 24 of the Rampage’s 26 shots.
San Antonio next plays a home match against the Ontario Reign at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
