Bethesda Church Holds Holiday Food Drive

Bethesda Congregational Church, 37 Zerby Ave., Edwardsville, recently held its Thanksgiving/Christmas food drive. The food items were given to St. Hedwig’s Veterans Center on Zerby Avenue. The church also took 300 Christmas cards to the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre. A monetary gift was given to the McAuley House, Plymouth. The church conducted a Welsh cookie sale in October and December, making 300 dozen cookies. Church services are at 10:30 a.m. Sundays. Public is welcome. With the canned goods donated in the food drive are Pastor Rocco DeMelfi and his wife, Mary.
