Exeter Man Accused Of Shooting Daughter’s Boyfriend
West Pittston police arrested an Exeter man Thursday night for allegedly shooting his daughter’s boyfriend.
Police charged Gary Patrick, 69, of Packer Avenue, Exeter, with aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person for allegedly shooting Wayne Tilley in the stomach outside his home on Foundry Street in West Pittston.
According to the criminal complaint, police were dispatched to Foundry Street just after 9:30 p.m. for a reported gunshot victim.
Patrick told investigators he and his wife decided to check on their daughter Christina Appel at 846 Foundry St., where she resides with Tilley, because he was concerned she was being physically abused.
