Suspects arrested in Harnett County stabbing
Law enforcement officers arrested two suspects wanted in connection with a Harnett County stabbing, officials announced Thursday.
Timothy James Ray, 48, of Bunnlevel, and Jennifer Ann Jackson, 27, of Erwin, were charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, robbery and possession of a stolen vehicle.
They were arrested near the intersection of Griffin Road and Old U.S. Highway 421.
Harnett County sheriff’s deputies said Ray and Jackson stabbed a woman multiple times on Covington Road on Monday afternoon.
Deputies believe Ray and Jackson stole the woman’s white 2004 Subaru after the attack.
The vehicle is still missing. It has Virginia license plate number V-N-N-2-5-8-4.
Authorities said Wednesday that the woman was in stable condition.
