LUBBOCK (AP) _ Texas Tech’s Noel Johnson scored 21 points as the No. 5 Lady Raiders beat Texas A&M 109-75 Saturday afternoon, clinching their third straight Southwest Conference title.
Connie Robinson added 19 points for the Lady Raiders (24-3, 12-2 SWC), who won their 18th straight home game.
The Lady Aggies (20-6, 11-3) kept the game close early in the first half, leading 22-20 midway through the period.
But LeKisha Wiley tied the game and Johnson sank a free throw with 12:06 left in the half for a 23-22 Tech lead.
The Lady Raiders never trailed after that, closing out the period with a 38-11 run. Four Tech players scored in double figures by halftime as the Lady Raiders led, 60-33.
Michi Atkins and Wiley each scored 16 and Janice Farris had 13 for Tech.
Beth Burket led the Aggies with 12 points, Kelly Cerny had 11 and Donyale Canada added 10.
