ONA - Cabell Midland High School’s Agriscience program and S.T.E.M Academy will host its Family Fun Knight from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, in the school’s main concourse.

The all-ages night of experiments, games and hand-on activities are free to the community and led by Cabell Midland’s Mu Alpha Theta students.

Activities include making binary bracelets, spaghetti architecture, slime, lava lamps, tangrams, a STEAM-themed art gallery and Marshall University’s inflatable planetarium. Demonstrations by students will include drones, 3-D printers, various robots and rockets.

STEAM is an acronym used in educational circles that stands for science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics - the longer-established STEM phrase with an added “A” for art.

Degrees and opportunities in the STEM field also will be promoted by the Cabell County Career Technology Center, the Carver Career Center, Marshall, and Mountwest Community and Technical College.
