E.l.f. Beauty: Fiscal 1Q Earnings Snapshot
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) _ E.l.f. Beauty Inc. (ELF) on Wednesday reported fiscal first-quarter profit of $3.7 million.
The Oakland, California-based company said it had net income of 7 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 14 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 11 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 6 cents per share.
The cosmetics company posted revenue of $59.8 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Nine analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $55.2 million.
E.l.f. Beauty expects full-year earnings in the range of 37 cents to 41 cents per share, with revenue in the range of $246 million to $256 million.
E.l.f. Beauty shares have increased 91% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $16.54, a rise of 14% in the last 12 months.
