Darlington man charged with years of sexual crimes
DARLINGTON, S.C. — A Darlington man has been arrested after an investigation into alleged sexual crimes dating back to July 2012.
Raymond Kevin Warren, 51, of Darlington is charged with 10 counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, under 11, first degree, and 12 counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, between 11 and 14, second degree.
The arrest was announced by Darlington County Sheriff Tony Chavis, who said his Special Response Unit investigators and deputies had searched Warren’s residence.
“Protecting children is near and dear to my heart and is our part of our main goal,” Chavis said. “This is why I started the Special Victims Unit; to tackle these difficult investigations and protect our most vulnerable.”
Warren was being held at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center. The sheriff’s office said additional charges are expected in neighboring jurisdictions.
