Round Tables set September sessions

Sherman’s March will be the topic of the next meeting of the Rochester Civil War Round Table at 7 p.m. Sept. 12 at the History Center of Olmsted County, 1195 West Circle Drive SW.

“Minnesota Soldiers Who Marched through Georgia” will be presented by Barry Adams, a retired Gettysburg battlefield guide.

Also coming up is the next meeting of the Veterans and Emergency Services Museum Round Table, at 7 p.m. Sept. 17 at Autumn Ridge Church, 3611 Salem Road SW, Rochester.

Aaron A. Penning will present “My Journey from the Marines to the Rochester Police Department.” Penning was part of embassy security, an air marshall and a SWAT officer in California before coming to Rochester.

The public is invited to both events.
