Flood warning: Allen, Adams, Defiance, Paulding, Van Wert

The National Weather Service has issued flood warnings for all or parts of Allen and Adams counties in Indiana and Defiance, Paulding and Van Wert counties in Ohio.

The warning in Allen, Adams, Paulding and Van Wert counties is until 12:15 p.m. today. The Defiance County warning is until 11:30 a.m. today.

As of about 2:30 a.m., radar indicated between 1 and 3 inches of rain has fallen across the warning area, with localized amounts closer to 4 inches, the weather service said. Additional rain of half an inch to 1 inch are possible through daybreak; runoff from this heavy rain will continue to lead to flooding.

Some locations that will experience flooding include Fort Wayne, New Haven, Huntertown, Woodburn, Monroeville, Grabill and Leo-Cedarville in Indiana and Van Wert, Delphos, Paulding, Antwerp, Payne, Convoy. Ohio City, Middle Point, Grover Hill, Defiance, Hicksville, Oakwood, Farmer, Ney. Melrose and Cecil in Ohio.
