Dennis Gilgenbach — Rochester

November 26, 2018

Dennis Gilgenbach, 68, of Rochester, passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2081, at Saint Marys Hospital.

Denny was born March 18, 1950, in Austin to Wilfred and Laura Gilgenbach. He graduated from Pacelli High School in 1968. He attended Austin Community College and Mankato State. Denny worked at the Post Bulletin and most recently Davies Printing, retiring from the “work life” in July 2017.

Denny will be greatly missed by his partner, Donna; his children, Cameron (Randy), Ryan (Sarah) and their children Sophia, Aidan, Nia; and his former wife, Brenda; and Donna’s children, Kristin Shanahan, Kyle (Ann) Shanahan, and their children, Jackson and Addie.

He loved to share time with his family — pontoon rides, vacationing anywhere he could hear the gentle sound of water and feel the warmth of the sun on his face. He was very active, golfing, reading, writing, and umpiring softball games. He was a tried and true Viking fan. Skol!!

Denny’s parting words of wisdom he shared: Life is a gift. Embrace every day.

Burial will be at Union Prairie Church Cemetery rural Lanesboro.
