Adkins leads Huntington St. Joe girls by Butler 61-47

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Bailee Adkins scored 17 and Paige Shy and Hannah Roberts 15 each as Huntington St. Joe (15-1) defeated the Butler Bearettes (10-6) 61-47 at Mercy High School.

Jasmine Elder led Butler with 19 points. Jaida Wiggins scored 10. Khiara Shelburne grabbed 10 rebounds.

GRACE CHRISTIAN 46, CHESAPEAKE 34: Emily Hutchinson scored 15 as the Soldiers (14-4) went on the road and beat the Panthers (7-9). Haley Matthews scored 11. Samantha Wells grabbed 14 rebounds and Shay Cicenas 12 as Grace Christian retrieves 41 missed shots to Chesapeake’s 25. Maddie Ward paced the Panthers with 11 points.

HUNTINGTON ST. JOE 53, SHERMAN 46: Sam Adkins paced the Fighting Irish with 18 points and he was helped with 15 by Noah Bolton and Cory Sweeney with 10 points. Huntington St. Joe improved to 3-12 on the year. The Tide (1-13) was led by R.J. Cline.

Webb, who scored 17 in the second half, also blocked a shot at the buzzer to preserve the triumph. Danny Lattimore led Portsmouth with 19 points. My’Quel McKinley scored 15.

IRONTON 63, GALLIA ACADEMY 55: The Fighting Tigers (11-5 overall, 6-3 OVC) topped the Blue Devils (9-5, 6-3) in two overtimes in a game that included 50 fouls. Chalrie Large led Ironton with 19 points. Reid Carrico scored 18 and Ethan Wilson 11. Justin McClelland paced the Blue Devils with 21 points. Caleb Henry scored 11 and Logan Blouir 10.

IRONTON ST. JOE 57, ST. PATRICK 52: Zach Roach scored 30 as the Flyers (12-3) pounded their visitor from Maysville, Kentucky. J.C. Damron scored 14 and Matt Sheridan 11. Patrick McCay paced the Saints (1-21) with eight points.

SOUTHERN 75, WAHAMA 33: The Tornadoes (7-7 overall, 6-5 Tri-Valley Conference) built a 43-point lead and rolled over the White Falcons (2-13, 2-8) in Mason, West Virginia. Jensen Anderson scored 22 for Southern. Brayden Cunningham and Cole Steele chipped in 12 each. Jacob Warth led Wahama with 16 points.

ALEXANDER 63, RIVER VALLEY 48: The Spartans (12-2 overall, 8-1 TVC) used a 21-6 fourth-quarter run to pull away from the Raiders (2-12, 0-8) in Bidwell, Ohio. Caleb Terry led Alexander with 18 points. Dylan Mecum scored 16 and J.K. Kearns 11. Rory Twyman scored 17 and Lane Fitch 13 for River Valley.

WHEELERSBURG 86, NORTHWEST 23: Ashton Clevenger scored 18 and Dustin Darnell 14 as the Pirates (15-0 overall, 9-0 Southern Ohio Conference) blew out the Indians. Braden Borens scored nine for Northwest.

GREEN 84, SCIOTOVILLE EAST 47: The Bobcats (10-6 overall, 6-4 SOC) took control with a 21-6 run in the second quarter to clobber to Tartans (2-13, 1-9). Gage Sampson led Green with 20 points. Tayte Carver added 18. East’s Will Shope scored 15.

TOLSIA 65, BUFFALO 50: The Rebels outscored the Bison in each quarter. Jesse Muncy and Austin Salmons led Tolsia with 17 points each. Nate Gibson sored 18 for the Bison (5-7). Noah Thompson scored 13.

POCA 53, HERBERT HOOVER 31: The Dots held the Huskies to just two points in the first half in rolling to a comfortable home victory.

Poca (10-4) led 15-2 after the first quarter and 24-2 at the half. Isaac McKneely poured in 21 points for the Dots. Maven Mullins led Hoover (9-5) with nine points.

WINFIELD 64, MINGO CENTRAL 51: Twelve Generals scored, led by Zach Simpkins with 12 points and Christian Frye with 11. Colton Blankenship scored 16 for the Miners. Jacob May chipped in 12.
