Tonight: Tomball City Council to decide on sewer clean up and electric power agreements
Tomball City Council will meet on tonight, Feb. 4, to decide if it will approve agreements with OEI Engineering to clean sewer lines along Texas 249, and with iChoosr as a broker for deregulated residential electric power.
According to the agenda documents, OEI would be tasked with cleaning about 8,000 linear feet of sanitary sewer lines as well as inspecting problem areas that would need more testing or service.
If approved, the contract with OEI Engineering would be for $60,950, with the work taking about three weeks to complete.
The council will also decide if it will approve an agreement with iChoosr, a company that assists groups with switching energy companies in unregulated cities.
According to the agenda, iChoosr is working to recruit cities to help residents obtain cheaper electricity from electricity providers, whose rates can be accepted or rejected by customers.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at 401 Market Street.
