County Planning Commission to meet Thursday at Government Center
The Aiken County Planning Commission will meet for the final time this year at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Aiken County Government Center’s Sandlapper Room.
The panel is scheduled to consider a request for a preliminary plat approval for section five of The Retreat at Storm Branch subdivision in Beech Island.
The applicant is Storm Branch Ventures LLC.
Plans call for 78 lots on 66.02 acres of land.
Also on the meeting’s agenda is a request to change the zoning for 3.44 acres on Trolley Line Road in Aiken from residential single-family conservation, or RC, to rural development, or RUD.
The applicant is John Simmons.
In addition, there is a proposal on the agenda for the reconsideration of a Planned Use, or PUD, Type B amendment for the development of two tax parcels in the Anderson Pond Road area near Aiken.
The applicant is Christia R. Ashmore, and the engineer for the project is Southern Partners, Inc.
The Aiken County Government Center is at 1930 University Parkway.
The Sandlapper Room is on the Government Center’s first floor.
