NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Tennessee Titans defensive end Carlos Hall missed practice Wednesday, and coach Jeff Fisher said the rookie might need surgery on his right knee as soon as Thursday.
The Titans had hoped Hall could practice and play through some torn cartilage in his knee, at least until end Jevon Kearse returns from a broken foot. But Hall, who has four sacks this season as Kearse’s replacement, hurt too much to practice.
``It’s very swollen, and it’s catching and clicking,″ Fisher said of the cartilage. ``It’s quite likely that we would scope it as early as tomorrow.″
Kearse remains out and might not be back until Nov. 3, when the Titans visit Indianapolis.
Meanwhile, starting linebacker Randall Godfrey missed the last half of practice Wednesday because of lingering problems from wrist and ankle injuries. Reserve receiver Darrell Hill pulled a hamstring at the beginning of practice.
