It’s fffrrrreezing out there
SPEARFISH — It’s cold out there.
The National Weather Service in Rapid City recorded Spearfish as having the coldest overnight temperature late Wednesday and into Thursday.
Shane Eagan, a meteorologist, said an observer recorded -24 in Spearfish.
Eagan said he thought that might be a bit colder than it actually was, but he also didn’t rule out the possibility.
The Deerfield Lake area saw -20 temps, the Lead-Deadwood area received -15 temperatures, while Sturgis and Belle Fourche got down to -12. Newell saw temperatures of -10, Eagan said.
He said this weekend will be slightly warmer, single digits above zero, and then Wednesday and Thursday temperatures will be in the 20 and approaching the 30s.
