CHRIS BROWN RELEASED AFTER RAPE ACCUSATION IN PARIS

PARIS (AP) —Chris Brown is strongly denying accusations that he raped a woman in Paris two weeks ago. Brown writes on Instagram in all caps, “THIS IS FALSE.” French officials say Brown and two other people were detained Monday on potential charges of aggravated rape and drug infractions. A woman filed a complaint saying she met Brown and his friends on Jan. 15 at a club, then they all went to a hotel. Neither the club nor the hotel has reported any unusual activity. The Paris prosecutor’s office says Brown has been authorized to leave France while the investigation is ongoing. Brown’s publicists at Sony Music would not comment, nor say why Brown was in Paris.

JUDGE: R. KELLY CAN STAY IN STUDIO, BUT NOT AT NIGHT

CHICAGO (AP) — Late-night recording sessions at R. Kelly’s Chicago studio are over. The Chicago Sun-Times reports a Cook County judge has ruled the studio may only be used between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., and only as a recording studio. The judge also ruled against using the second floor after building inspectors found faulty stairs. Last week, the inspectors found code violations at the studio during a court-ordered inspection. A photo from the inspection shows racks of clothing, and inspectors say they found toiletries and towels. They also found several fire hazards and two overflowing bathtubs. Kelly’s legal team has denied anyone has ever lived there. A lawyer for the company that owns the building did not answer when asked if Kelly has paid more than $170,000 in back rent and fees, which was due on Monday.
