Woman will speak about history of Holocaust during upcoming meeting

GERING - The Friends of the Gering Public Library invite the public to its upcoming annual meeting on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. at Gering Public Library.

Mary Gould-Traphagan will speak about the history of the Holocaust and what information the Institute for Holocaust Education of Nebraska is currently providing. Her interest in the Holocaust began as a young teen, and she will discuss her visits to Dachau Concentration Camp in Germany as well the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C. Gould-Traphagan teaches social studies at Chadron Middle School.

This lecture is free, and the public is encouraged to attend.
