HPD drug search yields 100-plus grams of meth, one arrest
HUNTINGTON — The following information was provided by criminal complaints from Cabell County Magistrate Court, Western Regional Jail and the Huntington Police Department:
DRUG ARREST: A 30-year-old Huntington woman was arrested during a warrant search Wednesday morning after being found with more than 100 grams of suspected crystal meth and 15 grams of heroin.
Ashley Nicole Brown is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, according to criminal complaints from Cabell County Magistrate Court.
Huntington Police SWAT executed a search warrant in the 900 block of 21st Street, finding the house’s only occupant, Brown, in the living room with a 9mm pistol on an air mattress. A search of the residence turned up more than 100 grams of suspected crystal meth, 15 grams of heroin, prescription pills, paraphernalia and digital scales. Brown was also found to be wanted for charges in Kanawha County.
Brown was arraigned on a $100,000 cash-only bond by Magistrate Judge Dan Goheen and lodged at Western Regional Jail at 11:40 a.m.

Breaking and entering a vehicle, grand larceny, 8:14 p.m. Tuesday, 1300 block of 4th Avenue.
Obstructing an officer, public intoxication, 5:14 p.m. Tuesday, 700 block of 5th Avenue.
Possession of a controlled substance, warrant service, DUI, speeding, 3:46 p.m. Tuesday, 3rd Avenue/2nd Street.
Petit larceny, 12:36 p.m. Tuesday, 3300 block of Crane Avenue, Altizer.

Brian Lee Webb, 39, was jailed at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with receiving or transferring stolen property, third-offense DUI, no insurance, speeding, improper registration, driver’s license revoked for DUI, suspended or revoked license for DUI and obstruction. Bond was $45,065.
Jeffrey Dale Wolfe, 52, was jailed at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with third-offense shoplifting and trespassing. Bond was $10,500.
Jacob Wayne Davis, 25, was jailed at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with a home confinement violation. Bond was not set.
Tasha Joy Johnson, 27, was jailed at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Mason County charged her with burglary. Bond was $50,000.
Tonya Gail Bryan, 46, was jailed at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Putnam County charged her with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Bond was not set.
Andrea Hogston, 37, was jailed at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Wayne County charged her with grand larceny and destruction of property. Bond was $20,000 cash-only.
Robert Justice, 31, was jailed at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Wayne County charged him with receiving or transferring stolen property. Bond was $10,000.
Melinda Denise Wilkins, 46, was jailed at 4:40 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Wayne County charged her with being a fugitive from justice. Bond was not set.
