Dracut Man Facing Slew of Charges After Warrant Served
DRACUT -- A Dracut man wanted for a slew of charges including trafficking cocaine and assault and battery on a police officer was found by police hiding inside a home’s false-wall crawl space on Monday, police say.
Brian Sullivan, 28, was found inside 58 Tyngsboro Road around 3 p.m. after a search warrant was executed at the home by several area police agencies, according to a press release from the Dracut Police Department.
Aside from Dracut police officers, the Lowell Police Department’s Vice Unit and Criminal Bureau, the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Task Force and the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council SWAT and K-9 team members, executed the warrant in search of Sullivan.
“This was a potential dangerous situation that came to a close safely because of the relationship this department has with Lowell Police, Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office and NEMLEC SWAT,” Dracut Police Chief Peter Bartlett stated. “Our community is a safer place because of the tenacity of the detectives assigned to apprehend this individual and the teamwork involved in taking a wanted felon off the street.”
Sullivan was wanted on eight separate charges, according to the release.
The 28-year-old is slated to appear in Lowell District Court on Wednesday.
