Thomas Kackert: Canyons on Swanson Avenue
I have watched with amazement as The Views rise up over the summer to multiple-story heights. The square footage of this mega structure must be great. This triggered a thought about infrastructure around the area. Swanson is not very wide and is already clogged with traffic during the winter season, and when The Views reaches capacity, is adequate parking provided for the new residents?
Now another five-story development is in the future. Isn’t it time to improve (widen) Swanson? Our streets were designed for a town of about 10,000 population. While I am not against growth it should not be at the expense of current residents and their safety. Havasu is no longer the Wild West.
