W-B Mayor, City Representatives To Attend Crime Watch Meetings

WILKES-BARRE — Next week, Mayor Tony George and department representatives from City Hall will attend the following crime watch meetings: • North End Crime Watch Meeting, 7 p.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church Social Hall, 522 Madison St., Wilkes-Barre. •Heights Crime Watch Meeting, 7 p.m. Wednesday, at Marymount Center, 154 S. Hancock St., Wilkes-Barre. George and members of his administration will listen to residents’ concerns. The mayor has said attending such meetings allows the his administration “to connect with residents, in their neighborhoods, on their time.” Members of the administration will attend other upcoming neighborhood crime watch meetings, which will be announced soon.
