Junior League, Sleep in Heavenly Peace partner to build bunk beds for Florence children

FLORENCE, S.C. – The ladies of the Junior League of Florence Provisional Class is partnering with the Florence area Sleep in Heavenly Peace on a project.

The Junior League of Florence is making a donation of $2,500 raised by the 2019 Provisional Class.

This donation allows the ladies of Junior Leauge of Florence to sand, drill and put together 10 bunk beds for children who live in Florence County.

“This partnership is what the Junior League of Florence is all about,” said Nicole Echols, a spokesperson for the Junior League of Florence. “We are building and creating an opportunity for a child to have a warm, safe place to sleep tonight.”

The build day was held Saturday at West Florence Baptist Church at 3341 Hoffmeyer Road in Florence.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a nonprofit organization that believes no child should sleep on the floor. For more information about the organization, visit shpbeds.org.
