Zscaler: Fiscal 3Q Earnings Snapshot
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) _ Zscaler Inc. (ZS) on Thursday reported a loss of $12.2 million in its fiscal third quarter.
The San Jose, California-based company said it had a loss of 10 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, came to 5 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 1 cent per share.
The cloud-based information security provider posted revenue of $79.1 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $74.7 million.
For the current quarter ending in July, Zscaler expects its per-share earnings to range from 1 cent to 2 cents.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $81 million to $83 million for the fiscal fourth quarter.
Zscaler expects full-year earnings in the range of 16 cents to 18 cents per share, with revenue ranging from $298 million to $300 million.
Zscaler shares have risen 86% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $73.03, nearly tripling in the last 12 months.
