LLANVEYNOE, Wales (AP) _ If you're driving through southern Wales and see a herd of goats wearing sweaters, don't be alarmed. It's just one farmer's way of keeping them warm.

Robi Mandley found that her 50 Angora goats were shivering after being sheared in the winter.

``I tried making coats based on dog coats, but they didn't work because the goats pulled them off one another,'' she said.

Mandley has gotten around that problem with the sweaters, by cutting off the sleeves and putting the goats' front legs through the arm holes.

The idea of using sweaters came from the Marie Curie Cancer Care second-hand store in nearby Abergavenny.

``Robi's a great customer,'' said store manager Mala Edwards, ``and she's got the best-dressed goats around.''
