Wilkes-Barre Mayor To Attend Crime Watch Meeting

August 10, 2018

WILKES-BARRE — Mayor Tony George and members of his administration will attend the East End Crime Watch meeting at East End Primitive Methodist Church, 79 Laurel St., Wilkes-Barre, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Monday. The mayor and department representatives from city hall will attend to hear residents’ concerns. “Attendance at the crime watch meeting allows the mayor’s administration to connect with residents, in their neighborhoods, on their time,” according to a news release from the mayor’s office. George and department representatives have attended similar meetings this year in June and July in the Iron Triangle and South Wilkes-Barre sections of the city, respectively. The George administration will attend other upcoming neighborhood crime watch meetings, which will be announced soon, according to the news release. Additionally, residents can share concerns with the administration through the Mayor’s Help Line at 570-821-1111, the city website (www.wilkes-barre.city), and the city Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/wilkesbarrecity). — STEVE MOCARSKY
