LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Five championship bouts, including an IBF flyweight title fight between unbeaten Danny Romero and Miguel Martinez, will be staged at the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio on July 29.

Romero, 24-0 with 21 knockouts, will be making the first defense of the title he won in April in Las Vegas. Romero, of Albuquerque, N.M., is the first American-born flyweight champion in 61 years.

Martinez, 32-8-1 with 26 knockouts, said at a news conference Tuesday that ``the people will be standing and cheering for the whole fight.''

Romero, 20, was proclaimed the new ``Golden Boy'' at the news conference by Art Aragon, known as the ``Golden Boy'' when he fought in the 1950s.

``A lot of guys can call themselves `Golden Boy,' but this is the only `Golden Boy' that I've seen since I looked in the mirror in the '50s,'' Aragon said.

In other bouts, James Leija of San Antonio will meet Eduardo Perez of Mexico for the PENTA super featherweight championship; unbeaten Roberto Garcia of Oxnard, Calif., will defend his NABF junior lightweight title against Pancho Segura of Coachella, Calif; Juan Rodriguez of Mexico will defend his Mexican lightweight title against unbeaten countryman Mauro Lucero; and Alex Sanchez of Puerto Rico will defend his WBO mini-flyweight crown against Tomas Rivera of Mexico.

The pay-per-view show is being promoted by Bob Arum.
