Police: Pregnant woman, special needs teens injured in crash
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) — Authorities and school officials say seven people were injured when a car collided with a mini school bus, including a pregnant woman and two special needs teenagers.
The crash happened in Springfield’s Forest Park neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.
A Springfield Public Schools spokeswoman tells WGGB-TV the driver of the bus and two students were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries. They are expected to live.
Springfield Police Sergeant John Delaney tells WWLP-TV seven people were hospitalized, including the pregnant woman who had been driving the sedan. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
