Fire damages historic apartments near downtown Spokane

Spokane firefighters responded to an apartment fire at Second Avenue and Pine Street near downtown Spokane on Monday morning.

Deputy Chief Mark John said the fire was knocked out quickly. Two units were damaged by flames.

The historic building, 102 E. Second Ave., is owned by SNAP and was built in 1906.
