SPORTS BETTING-SOUTH DAKOTA
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — A casino organization in Deadwood plans to ask South Dakota lawmakers to put a measure on the 2020 ballot allowing sports betting in the historic mining town. The move comes after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the federal law that bans gambling on sports in most states and five have moved to allow it. In South Dakota, supporters say the change would help keep Deadwood competitive as a gambling destination. By James Nord. UPCOMING: 400 words, photo by 2 p.m.
