Nicholas Luciano Magistro Earns Eagle Scout Rank
Nicholas Luciano Magistro has achieved the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America Program, Eagle Scout. He passed his Eagle Board of Review on Oct. 17, 2018, and was presented with his Eagle badge and rank at a Court of Honor on Dec. 20, 2018. Magistro, 14, began his Scouting career with Pack 123, Forty Fort, at the age of 6 and is a member of Boy Scout Troop 143 in Swoyersville. He has earned numerous leadership positions, earned 53 merit badges, the Order of Arrow and three religious medals — Light of Christ, Parvuli Dei, Ad Altare Dei, and will receive the Pope Pius XII medal in April 2019. For his Eagle Scout service project, Magistro refurbished the Kingston Forty-Fort (KFF) O’Hara baseball stand and field on Dana Street in Swoyersville. This project took 276 hours and 25 days to complete. He is the son of Michael and Caroline Magistro of Forty Fort, and the grandson of the late Anthony and Claire Magistro Jr. of Scott Twp. and the late Benjamin and Wanda Czarnecki Jr. of Pringle. He is a freshman and honor student at West Side Career Technology Center and Wyoming Valley West High School, and is also an altar server at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Swoyersville.
