Danbury police seeking to identify dirt bike rider involved in hit-and-run

DANBURY — City police are seeking help identifying a man who struck a motor vehicle while riding a dirt bike, then left the scene Sunday evening.

The accident occured at approximately 5 p.m. Sunday in front of St. Peter’s Church on Main Street, police said.

“After the collision, the male picked up the dirt bike and fled onto Center (Street),” police said.

A photo of the rider and the dirt bike, reportedly taken as they left the scene, can be seen on the Danbury Police Department Facebook page.

Anyone that witnessed the accident or has information about the man is asked to call Officer Howley at 203-797-4611 ext 621, police said.
