December 19, 2018

WILKES-BARRE — A man robbed the Turkey Hill Minit Market on North Wilkes-Barre Boulevard early Tuesday morning, according to city police. The crime took place at 1:18 a.m. Tuesday, police said in a news release. A man ordered a store clerk to give him cash from a register, then fled the store, police said. The man had his hand concealed in a jacket pocket, which caused the clerk to believe he had a weapon, according to police. The suspect is described as a black male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, wearing jeans and a black/navy jacket with a light-colored blue hoodie underneath the jacket. Anyone with information may call Wilkes-Barre police at 570-208-4200. — ERIC MARK
